1/3 cup full-fat canned coconut milk
1 tablespoon maple syrup (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
1 teaspoon matcha tea powder
2 ounces hot water
Ice (to fill the glass)
Muddle the Strawberries:
Add the sliced strawberries to the bottom of your serving glass. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently mash them into a pulp.
Prepare the Matcha:
In a small bowl or cup, whisk the matcha tea powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy.
Make the Coconut Cream:
In another bowl, whisk together the full-fat coconut milk, maple syrup, and vanilla powder until thick and creamy.
Assemble the Drink:
Fill the glass with ice over the muddled strawberries. Slowly pour in the coconut cream mixture. Gently pour the matcha tea over the back of a spoon to layer it on top.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve immediately. Stir before drinking if preferred, or enjoy the layered look and sip through a straw for a mix of all the flavors.
Enjoy this refreshing and creamy drink in the morning as a unique alternative to coffee or as a mid-afternoon treat. It’s best served chilled and makes a beautiful addition to brunch or spring gatherings.
