Buttered Noodles & Chicken is a comforting, creamy, and satisfying dish that’s quick to prepare yet full of flavor. With tender, juicy chicken breasts and buttery egg noodles cooked in a rich garlic cream sauce, it’s the perfect meal for busy weeknights or cozy weekends. The simple ingredients and minimal prep make this a go-to recipe when you want something hearty but easy to whip up.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 ounces egg noodles
3 tablespoons butter
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Cook the Chicken
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the chicken and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
Cook the Noodles
Add the egg noodles directly into the skillet with the sauce. Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, or until the noodles are tender and have absorbed much of the liquid.
Finish the Dish
Stir in the butter and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it warm through for 2–3 minutes.
Serve
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
