Logo Design 

The idea behind this piece was to make a photoshopped image that represented a student club or team. I chose the Student Activists In Freeport, abbrieviated SAIF. Since it is an activist club I chose to use the first that is often associated with that sort of thing. Then I fit in the letters to fit the shape of the palm of the hand.

I used photoshop to create this piece. I started with a photo which I then used the brush, and fill tool in photoshop to create contrast and a design. 

I started with a photo off of the internet of a fist. I then used the paintbrush tool to trace the outline of the fist, after which I filled in the whole area with black using the the fill tool. After that I used white to trace some more shadowed areas almost like reverse shading. After I had added that so it didn't just look like a bumpy circle, I fit in the letters.
