With my candy still life I was trying to make everything as realistic as possible so I really had to focus on small details and things. For the other three I was also trying to make it realistic, but I wasn't really drawing anything in particular so I was just practicing for the end result of the candy still life. I think that especially in candy still life and shaded spheres I was working with colors and experimenting on how I could mix them to make them contrast each other and how I could use them to blend and make an entirely new color.

I used graphite and colored pencil for the candy still life. I used the graphite to kind of sketch out the general shaped of the candy and to make the graph which unfortunately still showed on the final product. Then I went in with colored pencil to add color and to create the creases and shadows. For the shaded spheres I used a different material for every sphere, marker, colored pencil, watercolor, and oil pastel. You can see how it changes how the speere looks based on the materials used.  And for the one and two point perspective sketches I just used graphite.

For candy still life I began with looking at my selection of candy, I picked out a few pieces that I thought tasted good but also would look cool in a photo/drawing. I ended up picking a lollypop, twix wrapper, skittles, and a fruit chew. Then I set them up in a rather random order for the photograph. After I had printed the photo it was not the full size of the page, and since I was graphing it I didn't want to do a lot of complicated math so I just made a large border to match the size of the photo. First, I graphed both the photo and my paper, then I began to sketch square by square.  After I had the general idea, I began to add color, shadoes, and folds. after all that was done I erased the graphing lines as best I could and it was finished! For shaded spheres, I sketched a circle and then drew a line where not to shade and where the shadow was the just kind of went from dark to light starting around the edges. For one and two point perspective I used a ruler to make a horizon line and make a vanishing point then drew the lines and erased the extra.
