The main idea of the work was following the prompt. We had to use 84 colors. It was 12 colors and then each color would have the original and 3 tints and 3 shades. This is also called design and in design you have to make all the colors separately. There can't be any blending or mixing. So the end result probably won't look realistic, more like a cartoon figure.
This project was made with only acrylic paint. The goal was to make the colors be as solid as possible without any blending or brushstrokes. I used graphite for the sketch, but after that I only used the acrylic paint mixed in many different colors, shades, and tints.
I started with a sketch, I had made an idea generation sheet with a diagram of all the colors, so I began by using that as a guide. I started with the interior of the eye and working my way out for a while. Then after I was done with the whole eye I realized that on my diagram there were several places I had skipped colors and duplicates of colors so I began to ignore my sheet and just go off of what my intuition told me. After just doing the eye part I went to the eyebrow. After that I just sort of skipped around the painting. Before that I had looked at the painting and decided where the colors would fit best, no I began to just pick a color and then after I had mixed it I would decide where it would go.
