The main idea of these four drawings was expressing the drawing through a solid line. I was trying to not have any sketch marks left when I was finished. This is something for me to work on, because of ten I sketch something, draw a line over it, maybe color it in, then leave it. I think that it does look better when the sketch marks are erased, but it is hard to erase so finely.
To create these four drawings, I used a 2H pencil for the sketch lines, then went over it with a solid line with a 6B pencil. The hard pencils allowed me to make sketch marks lightly that I can easily erase later. I used the 6B pencil for the finishing lines, because it extremely soft, so it creates a solid and dark line that has a very completed look.
First I set up the model, for the Hand Holding a Rubber Band drawing, I put my hand in this position, because for me it is easier to draw a profile than from straight on. For all of them, I started with drawing the general shape of the object, then moved on to the smaller details. I saved the very small details for when I went over it with the darker pencil.
