Sunday Family Humour 9 Home Page

Sunday Family Humour has developed from the humble beginnings

of exchanging humorous and interesting emails between friends

into a weekly issue with 4000 readers and has continued publication with only minor interruptions for over seven years.

The very early issues were maybe a little lewd by today's standards, and were certainly somewhat crude in formatting and presentation. The very early issues were called just Sunday Humour, wit the intention of replicting the pleasure of reading England's Sunday Times, which was always a glossy and very interesting publication. It was done on a Sunday because it was not Monday to Friday stuff!

It was only in later years when the readership migrated over the Atlantic and changed from a small and mainly British readership, that people started forming a connotation between Sunday and religion. There is no such connotation. Sundays are strictly for humour, so any religion had better be funny!

The level of acceptability for articles has become more refined over the years as readers have made suggestions, and some stories that I had thought might be OK were criticised, until now criticism, though still present, is somewhat rare.

These index pages provides access to each of the 7000+ articles (which are split over thirteen sites).
