Base Form: When starting as a Shape-shifter, you gain a form that looks similar to the race of your choice. This is called your base form, and it is the one you usually revert to when changing back. If you already have levels in a subrace of Shape-shifter, the last shape-shifter subrace you took a level in is considered to be your base race, otherwise your base race is Shape-shifter.
Form Points: Every level, a Shape-shifter gains two form points, which they may spend to gain additional forms, formless shifting abilities, or upgrades to previously purchased forms. All shifting takes no time and no actions unless otherwise specified. The points may be saved or used as follows:
1 Point-Gender Shift: You may switch your character's gender at will, in any form.
1 Point-Basic Shifting: You may change minor things about your appearance: Hair, eye, skin color, and you may adjust your height within a few inches, so long as you remain the same size category. You may change basic features of any of your forms except Hollow Form.
1 point-Hollow Form: You may select a race that you can shift to appear as. Though you look like that race, your race does not actually change, and you gain no stat changes or special abilities. This change can also switch things like Gender, Eye and Hair color, voice, hairstyle and hair length, but these things must be determined when you select the form. After you shift, you look like a generic member of said race with the chosen attributes, and the same size as they were to begin with. You may use this form and revert whenever you please.
2 points-Revertible Base Form: Though you can normally revert from any form you've taken, you may lose your base form if you are transformed by some other means. With this ability, you can retake your base race, gender, and the like even if you are magically transformed.
2 Points-Disguise Form: You gain a single form that looks like someone else you've been able to see long enough to study. You do not gain any of their racial abilities, their personality, or their memories, but you look just like them--that should be enough to fool some people with good enough acting. You can use this form and change back whenever you please. Shifting takes only a second, and does not require any actions. This form is for a single disguise, if you wish to look like someone else you must take it again.
2 Points-True Form: Pick a form as you did for a hollow form. With a true form, however, you actually become the race, with the ability to turn back into whichever race you last took a level in at will. While you are this race, you may take levels in it, and these levels will not apply toward which race you leveled as last for the purposes of this ability. Shifting into a true form takes all your actions for a turn. You can take no attack or defense stances and cannot move while changing. Changing back is much easier: it is instant and does not take any actions. You assume the racial package, both advantages and disadvantages, of a true form's race while you are that race, but you may not choose to keep them when shifting back and forth as you would if you were transformed with magic.
2 Points-Size Change (+1/-1 Size): When your character shifts, they may choose a size other than the form's(no matter what form) default size to shift to. They may pick any size within one step of the default size for each time they have purchased this ability. A character may shift into the same form they are already in, with a different size, and use this ability to choose a new size.
2 Points-True Form Disposition Change: Normally you keep the same Disposition when you shift, even with a true form. With this ability, your true form switches your Disposition to one chosen when you take this ability. If you have multiple true forms, this only counts toward one form for each time you purchase it.
2 Points-Greater Form (new form): You acquire what's called a "greater form". It counts as a true form in regards to race and gender change, but you also gain 2 stat points that are applied in a way decided when this ability is taken. The shift to a greater form is only temporary, lasting 5 minutes with the base ability. As with other forms, you can take multiple greater forms. Shifting into a greater form takes all actions for two rounds, during which time you cannot attack, defend, speak or move. This transformation can be interrupted by attacks or spells at the GM's discretion. Shifting back does not take any actions or any time at all.
1 Points-Greater Form Upgrade (Stats +2): This adds two additional stat points to the bonuses you get with a single greater form. These bonuses are chosen when you take the ability, and you may buy this multiple times.
1 Point-Greater Form Lengthen (Time +5 Minutes): This ability lengthens the time you can stay in one of your greater forms by five minutes. This may be taken multiple times.
2 Points-Greater Form Disposition Change: Again, this works the same as the disposition change on a True form, only it's for a greater form instead. If you have multiple greater forms, you can buy it for each of them separately.
