Special Abilities:
X Creature Stable: For the price of a single animal companion, a Duchess may have available up to X different animals that they have converted themselves. In order for a creature to be a Legion creature, they must have either the Cleaner, Scouter, or Converter animal abilities, listed below. Only one of these animals may be out and active at once normally, but for 10 MP they may instantly swap one animal out for another within the stable. When the duchess spends the XP to level one creature in the stable, all of them level. While the Duchess must pay for the first creature in the stable, all of the others are free and of the same level as the first.
Directed Strike +X: A Duchess may spend her speak action to grant a single animal she owns a +X bonus to all of its attack rolls this round.
Creature Swarm X Rounds: Once per day, a Duchess may spend her speak action to summon all of the creatures in her creature stable. They all appear within 30 feet of her, and remain out for X rounds after they are summoned. They do not roll initiative on the round they are summoned. At the end of the swarm, all but one creature of her choice vanish, returned back to their stable.
Visioncharge Crystal +X: Duchesses may imbue crystals with the ability to assist their Legion users in noticing details that they would otherwise miss. By spending 5 MP per hour per +1 bonus, the legion using it gains a bonus of up to +X on nonskilled accuracy rolls made to notice things at a distance or spot traps.
Spells XMP(Communal Minor Magic): Duchesses can cast spells costing up to X MP.
Restrictions: Duchesses can only cast Earth, Fire, wind and Water spells.
Casting Cost: None. Duchesses do not pay material costs for the spells they cast.
Alterations: None.
Casting Actions/Stat/Skill: Duchess spells require four hand actions to cast. Duchesses use their Home Ec skill with their Intelligence stat to make their spellcasting rolls.
Learning Spells: Duchesses telepathically access spellcasting knowledge of spells Legion trainers. If the trainer's hive has a trainer with the desired spell as a signature spell or as a spell they have memorized for the day, they may cast it normally. If the hive lacks that spell, a Duchess who knows that a spell exists may attempt to improvise the spell, but using a spell that is not part of a Legion hive's communal knowledge adds 10 to the spell's casting difficulty.
New Creature Abilities:
Cleaner: Cleaner animals remove toxins from the dirt, air, or water, increasing the area of properly terraformed land and increasing the hive's mana production by half the creature's threat level.
Scouter: Scouters look like normal animals but have a telepathic bond with their owner. When the creature is actively working with their owner, the owner can choose whether they sense through their own body or through the creature's.
Converter: Converter enemies may hold up to half their threat level of the legion's Legion Change charges, using them when they successfully grapple an enemy. So long as either the creature or its owner are grappling, the hold is considered unbroken.
