AppearanceNormally, Rasha appears as an attractive young woman with dark skin, black hair that flows like wind, shimmering chartreuse eyes, and a pleasant voice. Her pointed ears mark her as an obvious mythic, but she tries to obscure that she's a djinni unless she actively has a master. She has many, many different outfits, though her favorite is a purple belly dancer's costume with harem pants and golden earrings and bangles. Naturally, however, she'll take on any form that her master considers attractive if her normal appearance isn't compatible.
Rasha's bottle is ornate, entirely opaque, with sections alternating in purple, white, and green. It has a wide bottom, a narrow neck, and golden decoration.
Persona
Rasha might at first appear to be a sort of hyper-imaginative and optimistic airhead with far too much energy, frequently babbling about overly-mystical subjects or general observations of little significance, as well as having a flair for displaying her magic powers to frivolously impress. When focused, however, Rasha is fiercely determined to become the greatest djinni ever! This means she not only works hard at learning everything there is to know about magic, but also to satisfy her master absolutely. When Rasha has a master, she will act both like a loving caregiver and a stalwart guardian. Rasha might act sassy or defiant when a master makes a wish she doesn't like, and might try grant such a wish in a subversive way to encourage her master to be a better person. She remembers all of her good masters favorably, though, and might feel conflicted if a current master is enemies with a former master. When looking for a master, Rasha prefers ones with a strong imagination, a gentle soul, and a good will.
Back Story
Long ago, on a backwater Golden Alliance planet, a little human girl named Rasha in a tropical desert country. Her parents died shortly after her birth, and she was admitted to a boarding school by her wealthy uncle. While she loved to read, study, and play, she couldn't stand her uncle or the uptight staff of the school. She had a particular fondness for classic folklore and stories, especially those about the exotic beings that could travel from planet to planet with magic powers. She had a boring and peaceful life until, a few days after her ninth birthday, she heard that her parents died in a car wreck. Unable to cope, she irrationally decided to run away from home and began to wander the open desert. She continued to wander for days, nearly dying of thirst, until she suddenly came upon a pristine oasis. While quenching her thirst, she noticed a cave entrance at the bottom of the oasis pool. Curiosity and abandon overcoming her, she dove into the cave and swam through the water until coming to an air-filled cavern that ended in a massive arcane door. As she reached to touch it, opened to reveal a vast room filled with treasure. Rasha walked slowly through this room, overwhelmed with wonder, until she discovered the most significant treasure there, a golden lamp sitting on a pedestal, separated from the rest of the treasure. As soon as she laid hands on it, a bright flash of energy poured out of it, and a djinni of legendary power, named Ikuppi, emerged. Ikuppi told Rasha that she was his destined master, and she would be granted three wishes.
Rasha had no desire to return to her normal life, so she instead chose to pursue something more exotic. Her first wish was to become a djinni herself. Ikuppi was surprised to see such a young human making such a wish, but he made it so. Rasha then wished that he would teach her how to become the best djinni ever. Ikuppi was particularly amused by this. He carried Rasha into his lamp, and taught her how to bend the laws of magic to her will. Forty years later, the lesson was completed, and Rasha emerged as a mature djinni. Rasha made her final wish, for Ikuppi to ascend to a higher form. Ikuppi bowed, and made his exit from the planet in a streak of brilliant light. And then, Rasha was alone again, and she set out to find a master of her own.
Over the next one-and-a-half century, Rasha traveled across her planet in great strides. She served many different masters, most of which she chose for their gentle and generous natures. However, she was eventually discovered by a cabal of magicians who sought to use her for their evil plots. Through their magic and trickery, Rasha was unable to escape their control as they passed her from one to the next. Eventually, Rasha desperately tricked them into fighting each other until one remained. The last of the cabal realized at the end that it was Rasha who deceived him, and he attempted to destroy her by flinging her bottle, with her inside, into an active volcano. She would have perished if not for the intervention of a certain dimensional magic...
