Governor Biannual Staff Surveys:
Summer 2023 Survey updates
(Earlier surveys are below this)
Summer 2023 headline analysis by governor Sam Newman:
On culture:
Last time the values were particularly high. The figures are lower than last time on the whole BUT are broadly higher than the surveys before that.
The exception is lines of communication which had been lower last time but are higher now.
There are always lower values for ‘involvement in decisions that impact my work’ . I think we have discussed before that people can’t practically be involved in every decision that affects their work
Leadership:
Highest ever % (though not by huge amounts) for: Confidence in decisions, people feeling informed about matters that affect them, and change is well managed
The agree % around feeling valued in my work is lower than the last 2 surveys, but there aren’t many comments around this, so I wonder if this is a more general education system issue.
Workload and having the information to get their job done well are worse than in the last survey, by a notable level. However I think the workload issue is seen more as an education system issue so it isn’t clear how much could be done on this over and above what has already been done.
