Key strengths:
RWV is becoming a more popular subject with a greater number of children identifying it as a subject they enjoy.
SACRE role out of the new curriculum has begun well including hosting the local SACRE training in the school hall with all teaching staff attending.
We have increased the number of external visit supports through the Watford School's Trust. Visits have included whole school assemblies and year group expert lessons.
Increase, post covid, in the number of faith expert visitors including: Rabbi Erin, Reverend Roberts.
Key Areas for Development:
Establish effective teaching of RWV through the Explorer vehicle
Ensure the profile of RWV remains across the school and that staff understand their role in supporting the wider RWV responsibility across the school curriculum and community. This tallies nicely with the wider cultural, ethos and PSHE work happening currently.
Develop vocabulary for children in each classroom to help them maintain their understanding - widget possibly
Develop an understanding of high quality teaching for greater depth opportunities.
Assessment Data Headlines
Based on Foundation Assessments, the majirty of children are at age related or below. We do not have evidence of children working above age related and this suggests the need for staff training and support to identify what greater depth looks like and how to teach it.
