Little Green Junior School is just starting their mastery approach journey and this will be the focus over the next academic year.
Key strengths:
Consistency in coverage through all year groups using White Rose Maths scheme as the progression map.
Maths working party to develop open communication across all year groups, as well support the teachers who are planning maths for their year group.
Developing daily fluency sessions across all year groups.

Assessment Data Headlines
Strengths:
The number of age related children across each year group is over 70%.
As a whole school, 78% of students are at age related, with 21% working above age related expectations.
Areas to investigate further:
Assessment - Could we use regular low-stakes assessments to support students' learning?
Are the children being given opportunities to revisit previously taught skills?
What can we do further to support those working towards age related or Pre key stage?

Surveys Headlines
The data has been taken from the 2021 & 2022 children's surveys.
The surveys showed that the percentage of students rating mathematics 3 or above has stayed the same:
2021 - 78.53% rated maths 3 or above.
2022 - 79.74% rated maths 3 or above.
There has been a percentage decrease of approximately 4% in students giving mathematics a rating of 1 or 5. Although the decrease in the low rating is positive, the decrease of the higher rating will need to be investigated further.

Learning Walks
Subject Leader to complete maths learning walks in Autumn 2022.
The focus will be on fluency and features of mastery already being used in order to inform implementation of maths mastery across the school.
