Singing Assemblies
2019-2020
Singing assemblies during September 2019 - March 2020 had various themes, mainly focussing on getting children enthused about coming to singing assembly.
The themes of these assemblies were friendship, dreams, practicing for the Christmas concert, inspiration and different decades of music.
During these assemblies, the children would be taught about the story behind the music, including who the artists were and how successful they had been when producing their piece of music.
2021-2022
Due to restrictions being lifted, the children are now able to sing in their classrooms. The focus in September was songs with the theme of our ethos: Attitude to Learning, Community Wellbeing and Powerful Knowledge.
After half term, the focus was practising for the Christmas Carol Concert.
Spring term focussed on different genres of music. The two pictures show the plan of what genres we hope to cover before Easter and towards the end of this academic year.
