Ongoing INTENT based on 2021-22:
offer a range of opportunities to inspire children to be physically active in their everyday lives and ensure they are challenged to improve their skills, fitness and ability to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Encourage active learning across all areas of the curriculum.
Offer a range of opportunities to compete both in school and in external competitions to motivate children to engage in competitions
Follow the School Games Values of ‘Passion, Self-Belief, Respect, Honesty, Determination and Teamwork’ .
Intent for 2022/23 based on Actions in the 21-22 Impact Review:
Develop an inclusive toolkit for PE to ensure there is approriate challenge for ALL children in PE. Use the Class Context Sheets to document the support in place for SEN, PPG and Medical needs.
Use the Curriculum Map to plan clearly sequenced lessons, to support following the progression of skills across the Year Groups. Review this using TALT and Subject Leader learning Walks.
Develop the use of Narration in PE - consider how we can use the Foundation Assessment Tracker in every lesson to ensure assessment is accurate.
