Researching Maths 

Intent:

At Little Green, we are determined to give children the best skills to become masters of mathematics. This includes being fluent in fundamentals, being able to reason mathematically and being able to solve problems by applying their conceptual understanding in real life situations. We are also focusing on consistency across year groups, specifically looking at making connections between different mathematical concepts. 

Implementation:

At Little Green, we are intending on focusing on consistency, fluency and the mastery approach to maths. Each of these areas has a dedicated page with further information. Throughout this year, we will also be updating the school’s calculation policy to include the above.
