Intent for 2022/23 - Actions identified from 21/22 Impact Review

• Singing and Performing
  - More opportunities for singing performances. This can be just the choir or the whole school. 

• Listening
  Continue teaching the children to appreciate music, specifically looking at vocabulary such as pitch, texture, tempo and volume. This could be in singing assemblies or music lessons. 

• Composing
  -     Have more instruments in lessons, especially in the upper school (Year 5 and Year 6).
  -     Develop a more secure understanding of the technical elements to composing. This could also be through using bandlab.
  -     In Year 3 Spring Term, I would like to implement the use of recorders to give the children the foundations of how to read music; this will then develop in Year 4 when playing cornets.
