As the OFSTED framework has been adjusted, school self-evaluation has evolved with it. Now that we are operating under the Education Inspection Framework there is yet more freedom.
Inspectors will evaluate the degree to which school leaders and governors evaluate the quality of provision and outcomes through self-assessment.
Ofsted does not need schools to create a SEF in a specific format. This allows schools to use the SEF as a working document [or website] that they find appropriate for their needs.
Stability and Mobility- generally stable cohorts inherited from Malvern Way Infant School. More recent slight reduction due to increase in local school places and families moving away from the commuter belt as they are able to work from home - see Arbor Leavers school information.
Disadvantage - Disadvantage 50/348 14.4% We are a very inclusive school and have a wide range of community members who experience a range of potential disadvantages. See SEN reports.
Deprivation - Deprivation 14/348 4% Lower PPG but similar needs potentially masked by middle-class income. See PPG reports and PPG individual impact analysis:
Attendance - generally high 97% - This remains the case once Covid absence is allowed for. As of 21.11.22, our attendance was reported to be in the top 1% of similar aged children:
Our attendance: 96.7 (Year to Date - 21.11.22)
National from our phase: 92.2 (Year to date)
National percentile: 100 (Year to date)
National Percentile Year To Date (YTD) computes which percentile your school falls within nationally for your school phase, e.g. a percentile of 1 indicates your school is in the bottom 1% while a percentile of 100 indicates your school is in the top 1%. This is based on data from all Arbor schools.
