2022-23 PE Achievements
We are delighted with the ongoing sports successes we are achieving this year. We are also aware that it may be perceived that we only promote sport for a select few children. Whilst we embrace the importance of exposing children to honest competition and selection - real life - we are also committed to ensuring all children have a great range and experience of sporting experiences across their time with us. Through our Sports Partnership and wonderful PE provision driven by Miss Sedgwick, Miss Muckell and Mr Rivers, we offer the following:
2 intra-year competitions every term (class trophies- see website)
1 year group school sport partnership family competition per year (Cricket - Y6, Fun Run - Y5, Tri Golf - Y4, Athletics - Y3)
Over 60 different children across Year 5 + Year 6 involved in a sports team/event versus other schools or internal matches
Our sports teams focus on 'Compete' mindset where highest performing children in those sports are selected - This year: 1x National Final, 1x Regional Final, 2x County Finals, 7x District Finals, 4x Partnership League Titles!
