PSHE Curriculum Coverage

Just Talk Week’s theme for 2022 was to ‘Look beneath the surface’, to be patient with others, as we can’t always know the challenges that someone may be facing. 

Just Talk Week 2022 explored the different ways to help - it’s often as simple as just talking and listening. 

Feeling Good Week is a Hertfordshire-wide event that encourages schools and the wider community to promote children and young people’s emotional wellbeing by raising awareness of mental health and showing where support can be accessed within the community.

This year the theme was Be Kind and Connect.

In groups of three, the children made a Family of Scarecrows for our planned allotments

While working as a team and applying the school ethos of growth mindset and community wellbeing, they explored some different ideas and scenarios, such as:

If you have canes or sticks available, can you make a cross frame for sturdiness; or insert flexible wire into arms to make them poseable?

Thinking about the British weather, how can you anchor them down? .

Make the families personal, diverse and inclusive - how can we represent all different types of families we have at LG?
