We were very lucky to have Mr Tompkins, the head of music at Rickmansworth School, come and teach Year 5 and Year 6 how to compose the introduction of a song using music technology. It was a great way to show the children how music can be digitally composed. The video of Mr Tompkins teaching is on the composing webpage.

After the lesson, I asked the Year 5 and 6 teachers to give some feedback. The results in this picture show that all members of staff felt that the children were engaged and 4 out of 5 feel confident to now teach music technology to the children.
