Learning EXPERIenCE

Herm TV is a student-run broadcast that runs every day with announcements, current events, weather, and entertainment segments. Students get the opportunity to brainstorm, plan, host, produce, and edit episodes their junior and senior years. The skills they learn during this learning experience are transferable to many areas of life outside of high school.

What the students like about this experience:

"I love that we all get to contribute and collaborate together. It makes me feel like we get to bring Hermitage to life on Herm TV. Interacting with people you normally wouldn’t have class with and learning how to communicate with one another is helping me build #LifeReady Skills."

What the teacher likes about this experience:

"HermTV is such a wonderful learning experience for my students, and I love seeing them take ownership of their work! They start out nervous, needing a lot of feedback and direction- scared to make the wrong decision. Now, they're doing it completely themselves. I barely even have to be a part of the process because they've become so confident in the process."
