Lucy joined BIS HCMC in August 2024 and her teaching career began many years ago in her local town of Ipswich, England. After 5 years teaching in early years and primary, Lucy moved to Hong Kong, where she worked for English Schools Foundation teaching the IB PYP for 3 years. Lucy went back to England for a few years leading and teaching in a local primary school, and then moved to Singapore where she spent 5 years as an educator for EtonHouse. Lucy knew she wanted to be a teacher from the age of 6 years old, when she was inspired by some excellent teachers. Lucy knew that she wanted to provide children with the best education by giving them the tools to unlock their own dreams and potential. Lucy views children as confident, competent and creative humans who are filled with endless curiosity and she always strives to provide an inclusive, creative and collaborative environment where children are valued and heard.
In her spare time, she loves to read fiction and explore the world around her with her husband. Singing is one of her greatest passions as well as baking yummy treats and taking part in quizzes!
