Robyn joined BIS in January 2021. She began her teaching career in 2013 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with an undergraduate degree in French and Chinese studies. Since then she has taught English as a Second/Foreign Language in schools and universities in Spain, Quebec, the UK, Japan and Vietnam, in addition to working as a British Council IELTS examiner. In 2018 she obtained a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from UCL’s Institute of Education where her main areas of focus were vocabulary acquisition and the impact of foreign language anxiety on the linguistic outcomes of English language learners. 

In her free time, Robyn is part of the leadership team for a local animal rescue charity (ARC) and also delivers bimonthly workshops in IELTS test preparation for an anti-human trafficking organisation. She also enjoys reading, travelling and participating in CrossFit and yoga classes.
