Denise joined BIS in 2021 after working in Peru for 11 years. She worked as a Petroleum Geologist, journalist and tour guide prior to training as a teacher. Having lived, and worked, in 14 countries she is well placed to bring her understanding of different cultures and environments to the geography classroom. Denise will read pretty much any book she can get her hands on and is an enthusiastic swimmer and cyclist who is tentatively considering doing a half ironman, just because! Crocheting socks was the hardest thing she has ever attempted, and that half-finished sock has now been repurposed as a cat toy.
