Hollie Roach

Year 4 Teacher

BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS, Teesside University, UK

After over a decade of diverse employment in everything from selling prison fencing to farming pumpkins in Australia, Hollie decided to undertake a Primary Education (QTS) degree at Teeside University.

While working at a coal-fired power station, Hollie began volunteering at a local primary school and became enthralled with the vibrancy of the school environment and had applied to the university course within two weeks!

Moving into teaching was, by far, the best decision she ever made. She started her teaching career in an independent school in the North of England where she enjoyed several years of success between Years 4 and 6.

In her free time, Hollie enjoys everything outdoors: camping, walking, travelling and watching sport. She has a successful background in sport (particularly rugby and American football), however she been gradually transitioning from ‘player’ to ‘spectator’ over the last couple of years.
