Lela grew up in a bilingual household and has always loved reading. She began teaching in 2012, working at an international school in Cairo, Egypt. She then moved to Vietnam in 2015 where she cemented her experience at a global UK cultural and language organization and gained further qualifications and taught students to excel academically in English. She then joined BIS as an EAL teacher in 2021, where she has grown as an educator.

Outside of the classroom Lela enjoys being active through dance and cycling. She is a certified scuba diver and is happiest by the sea. Exploring new art, travel and food plays a big role in Lela’s life.
