Jamie joined BIS in 2023, having previously taught at Stoborough Primary, in Dorset, and BVIS Ho Chi Minh City. 

Growing up in Poole, Jamie studied East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield due to his love of learning about new cultures and languages. After university, Jamie became an English Language teacher in Bournemouth before moving to Vietnam in 2011. He worked in language centres and universities teaching adults before joining BVIS as a Primary EAL teacher. It was while teaching at BVIS that he discovered his passion for teaching and decided to pursue a career as primary class teacher. Jamie returned to the UK in 2017 to gain a PGCE and has since been working at Stoborough Primary. As well as teaching a Year 5 class, Jamie has lead PSHE, Design & Technology and Arts and Cultural learning to promote the arts throughout the curriculum. Jamie loves how art allows children to appreciate and understand the world around them. 

He enjoys, playing football, tennis and golf. He also loves travel, music, DIY and of course art!
