Hieu joined BIS in 2019 as a Vietnamese teacher. Prior to joining BIS, he taught at the state school and Saigon Pearl International School in HCM City. He was born in Khanh Hoa province, located in the middle of Vietnam. Chief among all the leisure pursuits, reading and traveling are his go-to choices. He holds two bachelor’s degrees in Vietnamese Language and Literature Teacher Education and English Linguistics and Literature from HCM City University of Education and HCM University of Social Sciences and Humanities, respectively. To hone his English language proficiency, he has just completed his Master’s Degree in English Linguistics and Literature at HCM City University of Technology. Working at BIS, he has great opportunities to attend workshops and training courses, such as the FOBISIA Shares Teaching Community Conference in Penang, Malaysia, the IB training course (Language and Literature), and the IB Job-a-like (Language and Literature). He is really into working at BIS because it is an open and supportive environment where he can work with amazing colleagues and students.
