Helen will join BIS HCMC in August 2025 as a Physics Teacher. Her DPhil thesis focused on proton structure, and she conducted research at both CERN and DESY. Following her studies, she worked as an aerospace engineer for nine years before completing her GTP.
Since 2017, Helen has taught IB and IGCSE Physics at Dulwich College, Singapore, where she has also served as Head of Year (Years 9–12) for the past four years. Prior to that, she taught IB Physics at Sevenoaks School, UK, and spent three years at The Judd School in Tonbridge. Alongside her teaching, Helen has coached rugby and netball and led several international adventure weeks for her year groups.
Helen is moving to Ho Chi Minh City with her husband, Dan, while their three adult children remain in the UK. She enjoys combining travel and outdoor adventure, particularly trail races, ultramarathons, and dragon boating.
