Catalina joined BIS in August 2026 as an Assistant Teacher Librarian. Born and raised in the Philippines, she comes from a family of teachers and grew up surrounded by books, the arts, and creativity. She is a licensed teacher and librarian with over 11 years of experience in educational settings across the Philippines and Vietnam. She enjoys helping students develop a love of reading and supporting them as they grow into thoughtful readers, responsible users and creators of information, and lifelong learners. Catalina believes libraries are places of belonging, curiosity, and discovery. Outside school, she enjoys travelling, visiting museums and gardens, reading poetry, watching theatre productions and musicals, watercolor painting, playing sports, and spending time by the sea. Her favourite books include The Little Prince and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, stories that continue to inspire her love of imagination, curiosity, and wonder.
