Helena joined BIS HCMC in August 2024 as a teacher of Science, having previously taught for 5 years in the UK. Growing up in Birmingham, to a British father and Hungarian mother, Helena has always been surrounded by multiple cultures and is very proud of her dual heritage. Growing up she loved to travel and visit her relatives. She has always been very active and supported her local netball and girls guide group. This led her to realise her passion for teaching. Whilst studying for her PGDE, Helena trained and volunteered as a Childline counsellor supporting children in challenging times. As a STEM ambassador throughout university, Helena quickly developed a passion for the practical side of Science and loves teaching theory through practice. She loves bringing Science alive for pupils in the world around them and helping them to make links in their every day lives. Helena loves playing netball, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and running has become a new passion, having just taken on and completed her first marathon.
