John joined BIS in 2017, having worked in various roles at the British Council in Thailand and Vietnam, and at International House in Italy.

Born and raised in Pembrokeshire, John holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of South Wales. He later moved to Italy to teach English to children and adults, developing a strong connection to the country. Since moving to Asia in 2011, he has specialised in EAL, earning qualifications such as the Cambridge DELTA, MA TESOL, and PGCE.

In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his two young children, cooking for friends, singing in choirs, and supporting the Welsh rugby team. He also loves exploring the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
