Becky joined BIS in August 2024, having previously taught in primary schools within the UK. She is a child of military parents who went to a military boarding school during her teenage years and has experienced a wealth of countries and cultures. However, it was her experience of working abroad in America during her studies at university, with children with disabilities, which encouraged Rebecca to seek out a role where she could truly make a difference. After graduating, Rebecca volunteered for a community charity project which encouraged teenagers to become active citizens in their communities before beginning her studies to become a primary teacher. It is on this foundation of supporting every person with kindness and empathy which she bases her daily teaching. Rebecca loves being an example of resilience, passion and determination for her pupils, helping them gain a curiosity towards their learning in every subject. She too has a curiosity and passion for the world around her always trying new hobbies including trail running, cycling, wakeboarding and climbing.
