This location has been high on the priority list since I started this project, in fact I think it was the first one I started looking for. So after searching through pictures of nearly every castle in the Czech Republic & Slovakia, I finally made a match! As I reported only a few days ago, the establishing shots of Indy approaching the castle via boat were shot at Orava castle in Slovakia. The Pernstejn Castle in South Moravia, Czech Republic was the site of (nearly) the rest of the shots, including the courtyard, towers and interiors. This castle was built in the 13th century (& added to in the 15th & 16th) in the Vysocina Region and today is still in remarkably good condition.

The very distinctive tower that finally allowed me to identify it:

The courtyard:

The actual interior of the castle was used as well, where Indy plans his escape with Charles de Gualle.

For me, this location is high on the list of places to visit!
