"Hollywood Follies" Movie Studio Locations

With the knowledge from multiple sources that Hollywood Follies was largely filmed in Fillmore, CA I have searched high and low for the location of the movie studio locations. So far, I have had no luck in finding specific locations - until now.

It's just a couple shots but I can now finally confirm that the episode was indeed shot there.

The giveaway were the mountains seen in the background in this scene - when compared to the Google Earth view in Fillmore, it clearly matches.

I finally tracked down the location of the studio backlot, which was on Sespe Avenue alongside a warehouse that doubled as a soundstage for the scene. The long storage shed on the left side of the frame (below) is the current location of a public works building across the street.

This screenshot illustrates the portion of the shot that was added as a matte painting. The shot looks east down Sespe Avenue.

Then I discovered the shot of the studio commissary is actually the front entrance to Fillmore High School, right down the street at 627 Sespe Avenue.

There are still many, many locations left to find in this episode and with no Google Street View in Fillmore (and hardly any results on Google Image Search...what nobody takes photos in this town?!) it is going to be nearly impossible to find them. So if you live in the area and want to do some recon...

...here are screenshots of the locations that remain to be found.
