I have had many memorable experiences in Juying. These include learning opportunities, character building and leadership opportunities. Juying has allowed me to unleash my potential, which I did not realise that I had previously. It made me realise that there was so much more than just sitting on a chair in a classroom, listening to the lessons taught. Juying allowed me to learn much more - it taught me how to develop my character as a leader and a proactive learner. After entering the school, I developed a lot of my confidence as Juying gave me many chances to stand in front of the crowd such as emceeing and to lead my schoolmates. I am usually a quiet person, but in school I have become a more confident and outspoken person through the many experiences that I had in Juying.
One of the reasons that I chose Juying was because of the CCAs that were offered. The one that caught my eye was Netball. At first, I did not even know what Netball was. However, as a person who loves sports, I decided to give it a try. Through these years in Netball, I have been in many competitions and friendly matches. I have experienced how Netball is played and what the spirit of Netball is like. During competitions, despite the competitiveness and rivalry, we help other players when they fall. This taught me sportsmanship - which is the beauty of sports. We emphasise on sportsmanship greatly. Netball has taught me how to be a team player and a team leader. After I became the Vice-captain of the Netball team, I would have to lead my team well. Even though it is not easy to lead my peers and juniors, it is a journey which is helping me to develop my character. It is a journey which I treasure in Juying.
