Firstly, I would like to share about my CCA, National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC). During our CCA, we get to learn about fire safety, what to do in case of a fire and the types of fire that could occur. In addition, we get to learn how to properly use a fire extinguisher and a hose reel. You can also make new friends from other classes and get to know seniors from different classes too. I feel that it is the best CCA and one that you will enjoy during your whole secondary school life.
Other than that, learning journeys are also fun. You can enjoy playing and bonding with your classmates. My first learning journey was to the Chingay Parade 2018. It was my first time there so I did not expect anything special but it was one of the most fun experiences in my entire life. My next learning journey was to the Art Science Museum at Marina Bay Sands. It did not interest me a lot until we got to know all about “Graffiti”. I love graffiti drawings so I enjoyed myself at that exhibit.
Next, we went to Marina Barrage at the New Water Plant. We made bird shaped kites though we did not succeed in flying them. Nevertheless, we played old school games like catching and hide-and-seek, which turned out to be great fun for all of us.
We also had enrichment programmes and one of them was the Circus Workshop. It is basically a workshop where we got to learn all about juggling properly, playing the diablo as well as plate spinning. Do not worry, we did not use real plates, they were all made out of plastic. Our class asked the teacher in charge to put up this programme again because we had a lot of fun.
