One of the reasons that I chose Juying Secondary School is because of the promotional talk when I was in primary 6, which was very assuring and intriguing. In addition, at that point of time, I wanted to try something new as a hobby and their Co-Curricular Activity (CCA), Hip Hop captured my interest.

The teachers in Juying are extremely amiable, helpful and understanding towards me. My teachers have been super understanding towards me when I acted up and they would even suggest ways to help me overcome the negativity within me and give me some alone time to calm down and relax. Many teachers in the school have shown so much kindness to my friends and I. I really enjoy the lessons and my time in school.

One of my most vivid memories in the school was when I went on a school exchange trip to Brisbane, Australia. The school had come up with a programme for selected students to experience a new culture and the school curriculum in another country. At first, I was not confident that I would be selected. When I was selected, it left me with immense shock and happiness. This incident showed me that the school is fair in assessing students based on their interests.

The experience of the programme was very memorable and fruitful, and I learnt many things such as the endangered animals in Australia. I also learnt to take responsibility over my own belongings and well-being. This experience taught me so many life values and I have lots of gratitude towards the school for giving me this unforgettable opportunity.
