Secondary 1

Many primary 6 students normally would have a hard time selecting the secondary school of their choice after PSLE. Well like many, I was in your shoes a year ago. I was also having a hard time selecting the secondary school of my choice. In the end, I chose Juying Secondary.

Essentially, the main reason why I chose Juying is because that it is near to my home. I have been through quite a number of programs and activities throughout the seven months in this school, those activities and programs were indeed fun but my favourite program has to be passion module. This module is where we can discover our talents. We were given choices about what module we wanted, there are sports, arts, ICT and many more modules you could chose.

I was in the Sports PASSION module, in sports module we learn how to create some sports activities for our friends who have ASD which stands for Autism Spectrum disorder. I also learned that everyone is able to play sports if they are willing to try it. I also made new friends and I was able to bond with my friends from other classes and stream during the module. In the end of the module we went through spark day which we are supposed to present what we did during the ten weeks of the passion module.

I thing that I like about Juying is the Chillax Room. Basically, the Chillax Room is where students can go to only after school to relax themselves after a long day in school. The Chillax Room has a pool table, racing car machine and video games. Chillax helps friends bond with each other deeper and and shows students that school is not just about studying but to have fun as well. Juying also offers you more programs other than just studying the subjects. An example is the Learning for Life Programme (LLP). LLP is a program where you can either learn how to play the hip hop or Guzheng. It is an hour and a half lesson, I decided to chose Guzheng as I wanted to try something new.

The teachers here in Juying are friendly and they are always there for you when you are in need for help, there was once when I was having trouble making friends as it was the only Malay boy in my class and I approached my form teacher for help and she gave my some useful advice. The students in Juying are inclusive with everyone they meet so you do not need to be scared to approach anyone in the school. There is a wide range of CCA in Juying where you can chose from.

Therefore, I think that you should chose Juying because you will have a memorable Secondary School experience.
