We chose Juying Secondary School as it was recommended by Ms Foo, my son Keane’s primary school Form Teacher. We were so happy to have gotten into the school as it was highly recommended by the primary school Parents Support Group (PSG) chairman too. To me, a good school is one that instills good values, builds good character and helps the child to excel academically.

I have experienced the dedication of the Principal, Mdm Soh, Vice-Principal, Ms Jennifer Wong and the teachers who have put in extra efforts to bridge the gaps between the school and the parents. This is important as our children spend most of their time in school and therefore, it is reassuring for parents to know the programmes and activities conducted in it. In addition, in order to maximise the potential of a child, every aspect of a child’s development should be recognised and valued. Hence, the collaboration between the school and parents is extremely important.

I am grateful that his Form Teacher, Mr Lee Kah Hong, renders his help even after school hours to ensure my son’s safety and guides him to adapt well in a new environment. He is not only a teacher to my son but also a friend whom he can trust. His dedication touches my heart and reassures me that my boy is in good hands.

After six months in school, I have seen my son’s transformation. He has become more confident. He is able to make many new friends in school and stay positive despite challenges everyday. Sometimes, I would tease him by telling him not to go to school as he appears to be tired in the morning. He will jump up from bed with a loud “No". Everyday, he is looking forward to go to school.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Juying Secondary School for putting in so much effort to nurture my child and always looking for ways to improve so as to provide the best for its students. Most importantly, I would like to thank them for ensuring that students have a study-life balance. I can say that I have made the right choice to send my child to Juying Secondary School.
