I chose Juying secondary school as I was attracted to the school environment when I first visited the school during the Open House last year. My sibling had also graduated from the school and the school is in close proximity to my house.

I recently went on my VIA/TIE trip overseas to Bintan with my class. My class was tasked to construct a ‘Safe Water Garden’ for the local villagers. We needed to dig up soil from the ground to install a system that consists of pipes and a septic tank. I was very happy after my class managed to show team spirit and our hard work allowed the whole process to flow smoothly. Through this trip, I learnt that hard work pays off and I also learnt to appreciate my environment more.

My favourite teachers are both my Form Teachers, Ms Ng May Ling and Mr Choong Guo Wei. Both of them always start the day positively, which makes me feel more comfortable and I look forward to attending school. They also are very proactive in checking on students’ well-being and constantly check in with students experiencing personal issues.

My current CCA is the Art club. I enjoy attending CCA and taking part in the weekly activities. As a whole, I am glad that I have chosen Juying Secondary School as the school has equipped me with a lot of opportunities, such as being the class Vice Chairperson and becoming a Juying Sports Leader.
