4I
When I first joined Juying, I was very reserved and quiet. Over the past four years, I have grown to become more open and sociable, as the environment here nurtures both our character and academic development.
The teachers plan engaging and enjoyable lessons, which help us learn more effectively. My peers and I support one another, celebrating each other’s accomplishments and encouraging one another to improve. This creates a positive and supportive learning environment.
I feel at home at Juying because my teachers and peers are always supportive and ready to help, motivating me to do my best. I share close bonds with my friends, making each school day enjoyable.
The school facilities are well-maintained and provide a conducive environment for studying. For example, the Passion Hub is a comfortable and convenient space where we can study with friends after school.
The school organises class culture challenges to promote collaboration, encouraging students to complete activities together. There are also semesterly Positive School Culture presentations, where students who uphold the school values are recognised in each class, highlighting our school's R2IGHT values.
One initiative that motivates me to keep striving for excellence is the Academic Excellence Recognition Ceremony, which acknowledges and celebrates our achievements. The school also recognises strong academic performance in other ways. For example, I was selected for programmes like the Achievers' Programme, which allows us to explore interests beyond academics, and the Hwa Chong Integrated Boarding Programme, which included leadership workshops and networking opportunities.
I am grateful to the school for offering experiences like the Hwa Chong Integrated Boarding Programme, as it played a significant role in my character development. It gave me the opportunity to bond with fellow participants, forging new and stronger friendships. Additionally, it nurtured responsibility and independence in me.
