I chose Juying Secondary as my first choice because the school provides a conducive environment for students to study and revise, and there are also good facilities such as the Chillax room, dance studio, iPad room and Gymnasium for the students.

The school provides lots of learning opportunities for students to explore and discover our talent, such as learning different musical instruments like the ukulele and guzheng. We get to learn different types of dance styles such as hiphop and jazz as well. The school also allows us to showcase our own talent on stage by having the ‘Juying’s Got Talent’ competition. Furthermore, they provide good performing students with scholarships, which helps my family financially.

Every year we get to try different activities and it bonds our class together. My most memorable experience in Juying Secondary School was my Secondary 3 Values-In-Action (VIA) trip to Vietnam, Hanoi. This oversea VIA trip taught me many values and I got to understand how people in a developing country live, as compared to our way of life in Singapore. Not all students get to go to other countries to get the experience, so I feel very lucky to have this opportunity to explore another country with my classmates.

I have never regretted choosing Juying Secondary School as my first choice and I am really thankful to the school as the school has developed me into who I am today.
