Both my daughters graduated from Juying Secondary school in 2017. Since then, we had a good impression of the school, be it developing the students’ holistic performance or academic standards. The affable teachers and principals were committed in caring for each and every of the students. Although we lived a distance away from the school, when looking back, both our daughters were happy to have chosen Juying.

This year when my son was posted to Juying Secondary School, it was naturally a comfortable situation as I knew he would also receive the utmost care and dedication from the school.

As a parent, my main focus was whether my son will be able to adapt comfortably into the new environment. Fortunately, the transition was a smooth one. During the Open house, we are ushered around the school by the friendly student councillors. We could get our queries answered by responsive Vice-Principals and Teachers. The Orientation programme was perfectly crafted and each detail was well thought out. The students were able to get to know their new classmates through fun and play. They were also given opportunities to experience different CCAs that the school offers.

Something that stood out amidst all other secondary schools was their “The PASSION Modules”. This module aims to enhance the personal well-being of the student and is a unique module that is exclusive to Jyians. The PASSION modules allowed my son to learn beyond the classroom. Additionally, my daughters were also given the opportunity to travel overseas during Secondary 3. This thus shows the emphasis that the school not only focuses on academic performances, but also on holistic development.
