Shermaine Tan & Mother
“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela. I am thankful to Juying Secondary School for providing a well-rounded education in a safe and nurturing environment, where my child can develop to her fullest potential both academically and socially.
It is commendable that the school OYSTER philosophy and core values are being upheld and implemented across the school. I am proud of my child as she received the I-Star Achievement Award in 2019. The award recognises her excellent academic performance and outstanding personal qualities that resonate with the school R2IGHT core values – respect, responsibility, integrity, gratitude, humility, and tenacity. As such, I am confident that my child can, like a pearl, shine inside and outside the classroom.
In addition, Juying Secondary School organises community events and projects involving students, teachers, and parents. These activities provide an excellent platform to foster teamwork and strengthen bonds between students, teachers, and parents. For example, the secondary one orientation campfire on 1 February 2019 was a fruitful and memorable experience.
My child enjoys dancing and has been actively involved in internal and external dance performances. She is appointed as the Captain of Cultural Dance this year and given the opportunity to lead and manage the Cultural Dance team, under the care and guidance of her Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) teachers-in-charge and instructors.
To me, Juying Secondary School is the right choice!
