To start off, Juying offers a wide range of CCAs, and personally, I selected NCC (Sea) as my CCA of choice. NCC is equipped with professional and approachable teacher officers who are ready to transform JYian cadets into leaders ready to contribute not only within the school, but also the country. NCC is also an ideal platform for any JYian aspiring to improve himself or herself since NCC is able to hone its cadets’ leadership skills and discipline, due to the numerous cadet-led activities, while providing its cadets opportunities to engage in new and exciting recreational activities. Most importantly, NCC also develops its male cadets to be more prepared for National Service.

Juying is also one of the few schools that organises both annual cohort and leadership camps for its students. Annual cohort camps are prepared for all of the Secondary 1 and 2s to better integrate them into the Juying community through forging vital relationships. In addition, the annual camp dedicated to the Secondary 1s was hosted by the Secondary 4s and they never failed to deliver an enjoyable experience for their participants.

On the other hand, leadership camps are specifically designed for potential leaders in Juying. Shortlisted JYians will be contacted in advance and are required to attend the mandatory leadership workshops so as to enhance their leadership skills and prepare for the testing camp ahead. The selected JYians are also prepared for the demanding leadership camps, which are held in school or in Pulau Ubin.
