Cultural Dance has had a great impact on me throughout my secondary school life. From my CCA experience, I learnt values such as respect, teamwork and responsibility. It made me realise that it is not only about my interests but also my well being. In Cultural Dance, I had the opportunity to interact and bond with my dancemates. Furthermore, it helped me learn how to better communicate and interact with others.. For instance, there is usually a break between our dance practices. During our dance lessons, I talked to my dancemates including juniors from lower and upper secondary. In fact, I always made jokes around them to brighten up the atmosphere after a tiring dance practice. My dancemates would then be amused by my jokes. I also make it a point to listen and pay close attention to my instructor whenever she gives us instructions. This reflects on a particular JYian school value - respect.

Other than CCA, there are some teachers that I like and one of them is Ms Lau Jiayun. She has made an impact on me because she is always there for me whenever I needed help or someone to talk to. She has never failed to comfort me and give me advice, which then made me reflect on my actions. She also has a great personality which makes her unique. Although she has never taught me before but she, as a Form Teacher, has helped me alot. I appreciate her for being my form teacher. Mr Chung Zhiwen, my other Form Teacher, has also made an impact on me because he cares for his students not only in terms of academics, but also on their well being. He never fails to impress upon us the importance of our school values. All in all, after entering Juying Secondary School, I have experienced a positive change and have seen transformations in myself especially in my attitude.
