• Rhacophorus is commonly known as ‘Tree frog’ or ‘flying frog’.

• Arboreal anuran.

• Body long and slender, specialized for climbing and gliding.

• All digits are webbed for parachuting and gliding.

• Rhacophorus have adhesive pads or discs for attachment.

• Rhacophorus have powers for rapid adaptive colour change.

• It is crepuscular in habitat (active in dim light – hours of down and dusk).

• Fertilization is external.
