• Legs are long and slender and wings are highly reduced.
• It exhibit concealing protective mimicry.
• Stick like body and matching colouration merge with the background and helps it to escape from the notice of enemies.
• Sexes are separate.
• Development is indirect and metamorphosis is incomplete.
